DAKOTA REV'S POLICY: All coaches, managers or adults receiving an MYSA Member Pass are required to complete the online training AND submit their completed course certificate before receiving their MYSA pass.
Go to: CDC: Concussion Training for Coaches. Click on "Take the Training" link located in the middle of their webpage. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Renewal is every three years.
Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training. This document is proof the course has been taken and will need to be submitted to the club. Submit your certificate by one of the following methods:
The MSHSL concussion training is also acceptable. If you are a high school coach or referee, you can log into your MSHSL account and print your certificate of training and send it to Mike.
As of 4/9/13, the Heads Up website is up and running, but if you are not able to launch the course, please use the below instructions to complete your certification.
The Heads Up Online training course for coaches is under emergency repairs. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are working hard to make the needed fixes and to make training available as soon as possible.
If you need to complete the training immediately, please review the course script and quiz available at the bottom of the page at: http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/online_training.html. Once you have read the script and completed your answers for the quiz, please email (duipinquiries@cdc.gov) us the answers to the quiz. We will then send you a copy of your certificate of completion by email.
